Sunshine Coast residents invited to meet NRL legend Shane Webcke
Webcke to help open new Homeloans branch
Sunshine Coast residents have the chance to meet NRL legend Shane Webcke at the official opening of the new Homeloans Sunshine Coast branch in Beerwah on Friday 19 August 2011. Shane will be at the Homeloans Sunshine Coast store on Friday 19 August from 3.30pm-4.30pm at 68 Simpson Street, Beerwah. Locals can also go in the draw to win a State of Origin jumper signed by Shane!
Founded over 25 years ago, and listed on the ASX, Homeloans has branches across Australia. Recently recognised as Australia’s best non-bank lender* at the Australian Lending Awards, Homeloans offers a competitive alternative to the banks for home finance.
“We’ve opened a Homeloans branch in Beerwah as we saw a real need to offer the local community an alternative to the banks when it comes to home finance,” says Luke Mooney, principal of the Homeloans Sunshine Coast, who has a strong background in financial services. “The wide variety of Homeloans products and services will make a real difference in terms of consumer choice.
“Currently there is a dramatic upturn in people getting back in the market to buy a home to live in. There are some first home buyers but mostly people that have been either renting or living with parents waiting for the right time. Investor market is still quite slow and is probably a fair reflection of where the current real estate market is at the moment; however the new $10,000 government grant should provide a boost.
“The real estate opportunities in Beerwah are enormous. We are therefore proud to offer our local expertise with the backing of one of the most reputable lenders in the market.”
According to Mooney, in the Sunshine Coast region the entry level for buying has picked up quite a lot in the last six months, with “accurately priced” property generally selling quite quickly.
“Many people are migrating from the coastal towns like Maroochydore and Kawana to places like Beerwah due to getting more for the dollar. You can still buy a brand new four-bedroom, two-bathroom home for under $400,000,” Mooney says.
“In my business I love to see people buying their dream home or doing that renovation to make their current house a home. Our team, which has more than 50 years’ combined experience, will be working flexible hours and offering streamlined services to meet the needs of Beerwah’s homeowners and investors.
Shane, who is actively involved in the Homeloans business and the face of the company in Queensland, says he’s looking forward to meeting locals and spreading the word about how easy it can be for people to get into the homes they want.
“I’m proud to be a part of the Homeloans team. Over the past quarter century of a Homeloans has been providing great rates and award-winning service to thousands of Australians. Getting a home loan shouldn’t be hard – and it isn’t!”
