Homeloans secures champion AFL footballer Matthew Pavlich as brand ambassador
Home loan provider kicks a goal; scores AFL superstar
Homeloans Ltd, which has been providing Australians with a refreshing alternative to the banks for their home finance for a quarter of a century, has signed one of the AFL's premier champions, Fremantle Dockers captain Matthew Pavlich as an official ‘brand ambassador.’
Under the two year contractual agreement with Homeloans, Matthew Pavlich will become the familiar face of Homeloans in Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia. As part of this role he will be seen in television commercials in addition to online, print and outdoor advertisements, and will make appearances at various Homeloans events.
“This is a great coup,” says Will Keall, Homeloans’ national marketing manager. “It’s a perfect fit for the Homeloans brand, and we are delighted to form this association with Matthew, who has proven to be a genuine all-round champion AFL player.”
Pavlich joins fellow sporting identity, NRL legend Shane Webcke, as a Homeloans ambassador. Homeloans appointed Webcke in late 2009 as it commenced its Queensland expansion. “Having Matthew onboard in the AFL states now complements Shane’s presence in rugby league markets,” says Keall.
Homeloans considered a number of potential ambassadors for its brand, and chose Pavlich as the most appropriate because of his professionalism and his profile.
“Matthew is widely respected, and this respect extends well beyond the sporting community,” says Keall. “He has strong and deep community links, which augurs well for Homeloans as we continue our comprehensive retail expansion strategy nationally. Our objective is to take Homeloans’ great home loan product range and service excellence to the wider Australian community.
“Matthew brings a lot to our business, not just as a sporting champion and well recognised public figure, but as a great role model for our people.”
